One Swyft Filings Quarter Costs More Than Our Entire Year

Disclosure, since this page is entirely an argument about arithmetic: the arithmetic favors us, and we are the ones doing it. Registered Agent NV.org sells Nevada agent service at $99 a year. Swyft Filings' rate below is Swyft's own published figure from a July 2026 check.

Two Things Their Pricing Gets Right

Start with what holds up. Swyft's agent rate does not change between your first year and your fifth; our review turned up no introductory discount that later expires, which puts them ahead of vendors whose year-one number exists mainly to become a different number. And a quarterly charge is smaller than an annual one at the moment it lands, which for a business watching its cash week to week is a real, if modest, convenience.

Their agent service is billed at $149 every three months. Four of those invoices make a year. About $596.

Nothing in that sentence is hidden or clever. It is simply a calculation that quarterly billing never performs for you, because no screen in the signup flow has any reason to show a twelve-month total. So here is one done out loud.

Look at the first row again. A single Swyft invoice is fifty dollars more than our entire annual fee. You would pay them four of those to receive the statutory service Nevada describes in one clause.

Nevada Prices This Job From $596 Down to Nothing

There is a spectrum here, and it is worth seeing all of it before choosing a point on it.

At the top sits roughly $596 a year for a commercial agent. In the middle sits $99. At the bottom sits zero, because Nevada permits an entity with a physical presence in the state to serve as its own registered agent by naming a specific office or position within the company, a route the Secretary of State describes in its own guidance. Nobody at a vendor is going to volunteer that, so we will.

The zero comes with conditions rather than fine print. NRS 77.300 requires the filing to carry an actual street address or rural route box in Nevada, which means a PO box on its own will not satisfy the state, and whoever holds that office needs to be behind that address through the business day, every business day, including the week the whole team is at a trade show. Owners running their Nevada company from out of state simply do not have a Nevada address to name. Owners who work from home have one and generally do not want it published in a database anyone can search. If neither of those describes you, self-service is a legitimate choice and it is free. If either does, the question narrows to which agent, and at that point $596 and $99 are buying the same thing.

Our own row is not the market minimum either. Ninety dollars is BetterLegal's published annual rate, which is under ours, and a page built on multiplication should not skip the number that goes against it.

Taking Swyft Off Your Nevada Record

One filing does it. Nevada's change document, a Registered Agent Acceptance paired with the Statement of Change, carries a $60 fee. It names the entity, the agent on the way out, and the new agent's Nevada address, and the new agent signs to accept the role. SilverFlume, the portal Nevada runs for business filings, takes the same document online; the Commercial Recordings Division takes it on paper.

Sequence it so there is never an empty seat: sign up with the replacement first, let the state record the change, and cancel Swyft only after the public record shows the new name. Your old agent remains responsible for your record right up to the moment the state updates it, which is a feature rather than a delay, since it guarantees somebody is always there to be served.

On the $60 itself, do the same multiplication that started this page. The annual gap here is about $497. Sixty dollars against $497 is roughly six weeks of the difference. That is the shortest payback period any vendor on our comparison table produces.
