Registered Agent NV.org

A Nevada LLC Can Be Budgeted to the Dollar, Except for One Line

Nevada registered agent service at a flat $99 per year. Physical address, scanned legal mail, compliance alerts. Renewals stay the same price.

Nevada cityscape

Two things you should know before the first heading. Registered Agent NV.org wants to be your Nevada registered agent at $99 a year, so treat this as advocacy. And the one number that would let you compare Inc Authority against us properly is a number we cannot supply, because Inc Authority does not print it.

The Free Year Is Exactly What It Says

Purchase a formation bundle from them and the agent role travels with it, twelve months, nothing charged. That is a real inclusion and it lands when a new company has the least cash and the most to pay for. Nothing about the offer is disguised, and describing it as a trick would be both unfair and untrue.

Now Try to Budget Year Two

Here is where the trouble starts, and it is worth showing rather than asserting.

Nevada is unusually generous with its own numbers. A person planning the first three years of a Nevada LLC can fill in almost every line before spending a dollar, because the state publishes each figure in statute and on its filing pages.

Cost Amount Knowable in advance?
Articles of Organization $75 Yes, set by NRS 86.561(1)(a)
Initial List of Managers, due with the Articles $150 Yes
State Business License, due at the same moment $200 Yes
Mandatory total to open the doors $425 Yes
Annual List plus license renewal, each year after $350 Yes
Penalty if the anniversary month closes unfiled $175 Yes
Changing your registered agent $60 Yes
Inc Authority agent service, year one $0 Yes, with a formation package
Inc Authority agent service, year two Not published No
This site, every year $99 Yes, printed above

That final gap is not a rhetorical device. The renewal rate for Inc Authority's agent service does not appear in their public materials, and rather than estimate it, characterize it, or guess at a range, we are going to leave the cell empty and say plainly that it is empty.

Why an Empty Cell Costs More in Nevada Than Elsewhere

In a cheap state, a surprise renewal is an annoyance. Nevada is not a cheap state.

An LLC here hands the Secretary of State $425 to exist and $350 every year afterward, on a deadline tied to its own anniversary month, with $175 in penalties waiting if the date slips. An owner assembling that budget is already working with a larger recurring number than most states demand, and the agent line is the piece they can shop. Withholding it until checkout removes the only variable from an otherwise fixed equation.

Note the shape of that objection carefully. We are not claiming Inc Authority's renewal is high; we have no idea what it is, and saying otherwise would be inventing evidence. The complaint is about when the number appears, not how big it turns out to be. If it eventually reads $49, the objection was still valid on the day you had to decide without it.

And so this page is not selling a false superlative either: BetterLegal publishes $90 a year, nine dollars under us, which puts ours near the bottom of Nevada's published rates rather than at the bottom.

Switching Agents in Nevada

A single change statement, signed by the agent taking over, plus $60 handed to the Secretary of State either on paper or inside SilverFlume. Our change of agent page has the full sequence.

The one instruction worth repeating here: enroll the new agent before you cancel anything. Nevada leaves the current agent on your record until the change is processed, so an overlap is normal and safe, while cancelling first leaves your entity briefly with nobody appointed to receive a lawsuit on its behalf.

Our Number, Printed Where You Can See It

$99 in year one. The same $99 in year two. The same figure for however long the company lasts, with the renewal invoice matching the signup invoice exactly.

It buys a Nevada address occupying the agent line so yours never appears there, every summons imaged on the day it lands and pushed straight to your inbox, a warning before your anniversary month expires and the state's $350 falls due, and a permanent archive of everything we have accepted on your behalf.

If your free Inc Authority year is winding down, ask them in writing what the next one costs before the card is charged. Whatever number comes back, you will be reading it next to one that has been sitting on this page the entire time.
